Congrats to Obama. And all that. Let me get to my soapbox...
First, I think Hillary is a wise & likely VP candidate. It makes sense. Both her and Barack have been ALL OVER the news the last few weeks. She has name recognition. She BARELY lost to Obama. Any other VP candidate would have to be reintroduced to America. And Obama is not as well known as, say, she is. And then there's the states and voters that she carries with her. It makes sense in every manner.
UNTIL... I saw her refusal to concede tonight.
I know the arguments. People are saying she needs time. This isn't easy. There's a lot of people she needs to bring along. Yes, but.. she just bitch-slapped Obama in his one moment. She's still on the stage saying it should be hers. The headlines all read... Obama clinches nomination; Hillary refuses to concede.
Maybe it's just me... but that type of strong-arm tactic doesn't sit well with me. It makes me think that, if she were chosen as a VP and she accepted, that she would be looking more for a co-presidency than a vice-presidency.
Sigh.
