Party in the Galt House!

Hey all!

After consulting with the local experts -- my brothers -- we are suggesting that out-of-town guests stay in Downtown Louisville.  Louisville is the cultural center of Kentucky... and also the town most of you will be flying into for our wedding.

The other reason we selected downtown, our reception ends at 7pm.  Since most of you come from LA, this is understandably early.  Which is why we'll most likely have an informal after-party with our guests downtown at a place called 4th Street Live

4th Street Live is a block of bar-restaurants that include the Hard Rock Cafe and a piano bar.  So it's the perfect concentration of fun and close-ness to the hotel where we'll be staying... the Galt House.

The nitty gritty info for booking a room after the jump...

Galt House Hotel and Suites
140 North Fourth St. Louisville, KY 40202
Phone: 800-The-Galt or 502-589-5200

Okay, folks.  Here's how it works.  If you and your compatriots want to book a room in our block at our rate, it must be done by September 10th, 2008.  Just mention the White/Wixom Wedding.

The rates (if booked by 9/10/08:
Deluxe Rooms     $129 for 1 or 2 people per room
$139 for 3 or 4 people per room

Again, we recommend people bunk up and carpool to our wedding.  That's what this website's for.  Comment in or email me if you're looking to carpool/bunk-up.  As names start rolling in, I'll post them on the blog (minus last names if you're sensitive) so we can all save a dime.

Also, there are "discount" hotels in the general vicinity.  So if you don't want to party it up at the Galt House, it's all good.  I price checked the nearby Marriot and they came in, currently, at $119 for a room with four people.

Here's a map of the Galt House and some nearby hotels:
