About Us:

Rachel and Kris both spent many years living in Kentucky -- they just didn't know each other.

The third daughter of a military family, Rachel was born in Hawaii. Throughout her childhood, her family moved from there to Germany and finally landed in Kentucky for six years. While in High School at Fort Knox, Rachel did Speech and Debate, Soccer Team, along with many other activities. The fact is, she probably played Kris's sister in Soccer and probably crossed paths with Kris in Speech and Debate.

For his part, Kris grew up in Kentucky. While attending an all-boys Catholic High School (Trinity), Kris dabbled in art, theatre and, yes, Speech and Debate. It's amazing he didn't meet Rachel before then. But fate sometimes keeps people apart until the right time...

And that time was 2005. Their mutual friends decided to set them both up, without either realizing it. They sat across from each other at dinner. "Oh, you're from Kentucky? I lived there too!" "Oh, you're lactose intolerant? So am I!"

You could say it was love at first sight, except that it took Kris four weeks to get Rachel's number. And she practically had to throw it at him. They've been together ever since.
